The Steyaert family has been proudly farming for three generations for a total of over 60 years. Paul & Mary Anne moved to Canada from the Netherlands and worked in the Scotland community, a small village nestled between Brantford and Simcoe Ontario in Southwestern Ontario. This region of the province is known for its rich and fertile soils. After the birth of their first child, Linda, they purchased the Home Farm from the Kovacs family and a few years thereafter had their son, Walter.

Ginseng cultivated on our farm replicates the way wild ginseng is grown in the forest. Throughout those three to four years, we protect the plants from strong summer sunlight and harsh winter conditions. Straw is layered on the plant beds for protection of the plants.
